What we do

Consultancy, research, and implementation for the systems that will carry the energy transition.

HY-GEN Solutions B.V. works across hybrid and next-generation energy — smart and digital energy systems, renewable energy, novel energy storage, hydrogen technologies, and energy hubs. We design for how those parts interact, not as isolated components.

System view

One hub, many carriers.

Sources, storage, hydrogen production and loads all meet at the same busbar. How that hub is sized, controlled and protected decides whether the site earns its connection — which is why we model the interactions before recommending equipment.

Field of work

Sites where energy and operations share a constraint.

These are the industries and site types we work in — not a catalogue of builds we have delivered. Grid congestion, mixed vehicle fleets, charging windows and zero-emission zones are the same class of problem as an energy hub: carriers, loads and a limited connection that have to be planned together.

Industry context: a mixed electric and conventional vehicle depot at dusk, vans on DC chargers beside a compact substation and a distant wind turbine.

PR.01

Technical Rigor

Every recommendation is backed by feasibility studies, techno-economic analysis, and grid-level modeling — not assumptions.

PR.02

System Thinking

We design for how energy sources, storage, EVs, and demand interact — not single components in isolation.

PR.03

Pragmatic Innovation

We explore next-generation technologies like hydrogen and e-fuels, but recommend what is deployable today.

PR.04

Security, Resilience

Digital energy systems must be as cyber-secure as they are efficient. Resilience is designed in, not added later.

Team

Disciplined execution, deep academic grounding.

HY-GEN pairs product and engineering management experience with research-grade expertise in power systems.
